In America wearing a t-shirt is like having butter on bread. T-Shirts are probably the most popular item in the clothing industry. All types of companies use t-shirts for advertising. Making custom T-Shirts with a company logo is like having a walking billboard without paying for the advertising. Thinking about the industry and the availability is amazing. From shopping in retail stores to online shopping you will find a huge selection of t-shirts at your fingertips.

Boston Ma is know for many things and Bostonians are extremely proud of their heritage. One of Boston’s very own has gone Pro in skateboarding and the Boston Skateboarding Community couldn’t be more stoked! Dave Bachinsky is a local skateboarder from Lowell, Ma who started skating as a young boy and with the inspiration of his uncles, was hooked by age 13. Dave passion and raw talent was followed by many viewers, on youtube, who were stunned by his amazing hard flip skills and his ability to transition into tricks with such ease. But it wasn’t until his Kickflip down the 20 stair set at El Toro High School in 2006 that sponsors really started to notice Bachinsky’s talent.
In 2007 Hubba Wheels picked up Dave as a sponsored rider and put out the video “Bachinsky Gone Wild” which shows Dave’s many talents on the mini. Also that year, while sponsored by City Skateboards, Dave kicked off City’s “What The F**k Is A Bachinsky” premiere along with team members Eduardo Craig, Jeremy Reeves, Jimmy Cao, Josh Matthews, Russ Milligan, and Tony Montgomery. He was also showcased in City’s video “Crime in the City” where Dave nails everything in the streets that he can get his hands on.
In 2009, Dave entered his first Dew Tour where he won over Boston fans with his smooth skills on the park. All in all Dave finished out the year long tour in 9th place competing against some of the top athletes ranked in skateboarding on the scene like Chaz Ortiz, Ryan Decenzo, Paul Rodriguez, Greg Lutzka and many more!
Dave is currently sponsored by Think Skateboards, FKD Bearings, Hubba Wheels, Venture Trucks, Vox Footwear, Oakley Eye Wear, and family owned Pioneer Skate Shop. You will see videos all over the internet featuring Dave skating; if you have never seen Bachinsky skate you need to check him out. Skateboarding is an art form and Dave is truly an artist. If you ever get the chance to skate in Boston, get down to The Boardwalk Skate Shop and Indoor Skate Park which is the largest skate shop and indoor skatepark in Boston. Who knows you just might get a glimpse of Dave destroying the course.

Back in 2009 NewEnglandSkate was in the market to order some custom Logo T-Shirts for our shop and were searching for a quality printing company to print them for us. We started searching online and found a company called Under Ground Printing (UGP for short) out of PA. UGP has done printing for many famous clients such as The Pittsburgh Steelers and even Barack Obama! With the clientele and UGP’s low pricing we were drawn in, and went right into the online design studio to start customizing our graphics! The process was pretty simple and only involved a few steps. We added our design to the art studio and used the design tools until we were happy with the look. We chose our quantities and sizes and were ready to work with an artist who then customized our work to the shirts we chose. Next we went through the approval process with the artist, where we could accept or decline the design. If you happen to find something that is not to your liking such as color shading or placement they will work with you until it’s perfect! Once your design is finalized and accepted by you, the turn around time is amazing! You can go from creating a design, to having shirts in hand, in as little as a weeks time!
UGP offers great quality in their apparel. They have an established standard in their choices of quality and they pass that on to their customers. NE Skate strives to have a close relationship with our vendors and work together as a team with them to succeed. I have had the pleasure of working with Joe Dopirak (Co-Owner) of UGP and he has been extremely helpful and patient in understanding NE Skate’s requests on all of our orders. Thanks Joe! I also want to include Joe’s partner Sam, who has had my back when Joe was unavailable so Thank You too Sam! If you are in need of any apparel printing you just found the best guys to do it for you. Please visit http://www.undergroundshirts.com/.

Bamboo Sk8 is growing and along with some great deck designs has introduced Longboards to their line up this year! A while back we posted a blog featuring the “Octobomb”. This colorful graphic is truly original and so detailed! As you know NewEnglandSkate.com was in Antrim, NH for the Can/Am race this past month. We touched on the highlights of the race and events and made some great new companies to hook up with. We are in the process of listing a real down to earth bunch of guys who go to college in NH and also build hand crafted unique longboards. I had the pleasure of watching them during the races as they diligently worked on some new decks. If you are looking for an original handmade longboard to enjoy cruising all day with then you need to check these guys out.
Here are some details and facts on what these guys do to bring you pure works of art:
Green Street Longboards TeeCoff
TeeCoff 110$ – A nimble little cruiser that works great for commuting to your 11am class or for just zipping around town. It has a wide body to allow your feet to lock; making for smooth controlled carves on those big hills. The smaller wheel-base on the board allows you to initiate slides like it’s your day job and the boards construction makes pumping an ease; best part…no wheel bite kids.
Specs:
~ 35 inches long from tail to tip.
~ 26 inch wheel-base.
~ Constructed from 5/8 inch local oak wood.
Green Street LongBoards uses Manadnock Oak from Wilkins Lumber in Milford NH. It is then brought back to their shop where they have to prep and shape the wood before silk screening their amazing designs
NewEnglandSkate has been a friend to Bamboo Sk8 for a while now and we wanted to share some of our experience in dealing with this company. We were introduced to Bamboo Sk8 on Hook It.com an online sports social network. We checked out their information on what they are about and decided that this would be the company to make our first NewEnglandSkate.com Logo Deck! Bamboo is stronger than wood but it takes some amazing people to make a skateboard or longboard the way they do!
Recently I asked the President of Bamboo Sk8, Geoff Koboldt, to let me take one of their Brand New Octobomb Longboard Cruisers with me to the Can/Am Slalom Race in Antrim, NH and it was a huge hit. Their were over 30 racers there from all over the world along with their sponsors who stopped by and checked out the Cruiser. The response was very positive in regards to how the deck was shaped, designed and the choices in trucks and wheels that accompany this longboard.
Bamboo Sk8 is down with the environment, they give back what they can and they care about their customers so go to BambooSk8.com, check them out and tell them that NE Skate sent you.
